Shift Roster Check
German working-time rule check
Checks a shift roster from Excel or CSV against the German Working Hours Act (ArbZG): the 10-hour daily maximum and, when the roster covers 24 weeks, the 8-hour average (§3), breaks of 30 minutes above 6 hours and 45 minutes above 9 hours in parts of at least 15 minutes (§4), 11 hours of rest between shifts (§5), and work on Sundays and the state's public holidays (§9, §11). Night shifts are counted across midnight. Every finding names its legal section, the measured and the required value, and every result cites the law's source and version date. Sector exceptions are listed, never applied silently, and ambiguous rows such as split shifts are rejected with a reason. Also exports each employee's shifts as an .ics calendar and makes a printable week or month roster PDF. Initials can replace names. Youth and maternity protection, collective agreements and payroll are not covered.
